半年賀状を書かなきゃ…それは暑中見舞いと呼ぶんだけど。

間違っている人に正しい事を分かりやすく教えると、納得されるのは当然なので新鮮な面白さがない…という側面があるのを振り返って自覚した。自分にとっては面白くないので、世界を改善する公共的な価値しかない。

弗素樹脂加工のフライパン（転居後の二代目）が少し衰えてきた。まだ張り付きを抑える性質は八割ぐらい残ってる。復活させるスプレーを買ってみようかしら。現時点で少なくともフライパン二本と炊飯器に適用できるから、そんなに高くないかも。

〈費〔つい〕やす〉と〈潰〔つい〕える〉と〈終〔つい〕〉は同根と思ってよかったっけ?

I use English when it’s beneficial to me but I hate that native speakers of it are granted unfair advantages. Speakers of other Indo‐European languages, they too are advantaged because learning English is easier for them. I will never be fluent enough to express feelings without constantly feeling constrained. And I don’t strive to be fluent. You need Japanese to know what I am.

I hate people who think that all relevant things in the world ought to be available in English eventually. That will never happen. Translations are always mere approximations. Translating factual info, that’s usually fine. Other than that you are just reading the translator’s techniques, not the original speaker’s voice.
