本日の書棚から適当に1冊は『教養としてのコンピューターサイエンス講義』（B.カーニハン著・日経BP発行）。
『プログラミング言語C』などで有名なカーニハン先生によるCS入門書。オーム社から『ディジタル作法』として出ていた本の改訂版。プライバシーやセキュリティに関して大きく加筆された。前著に比べて、より教科書的で直訳的な、幅広い読者層を想定したような翻訳になっている。ややくだけてエンジニア向けっぽい前著と、好みが分かれると思う。帯でエリック・シュミットが「地球上の誰もが読むべき」と書いている。読むべし。2020年2月発行。
