ケインズからサミュエルソン、ガルブレイズ、フリードマン、ハイエク、ポランニーからクルーグマン、スティグリッツまで、14人の経済学者列伝。1人1章だけどケインズだけ3章取ってるのは仕方がない。あと、なぜかドラッカーを取り上げている（ポランニーとの関係で）。それぞれの経済理論よりも生い立ちとか遍歴に重点を置いていて楽しく読める。

知識を詰め込むためのツールとしてしか本を捉えてない人って、たぶん教科書の印象が強すぎるんだろうな、と思う。
