以前、言葉は伝達に向かない、言葉で伝達が出来るのは単純な内容に限られて、特異性が多少でもある内容は、伝達によって伝わることはなくて、ただお互いが頭のなかに持っている「事典」や「鑑」を開いて、同じものを探して、照応が出来るだけだ、と述べたことがある。

タコが複数の種の魚をまとめて狩りをしているという驚きの研究結果が発表された。狩りのチームの多くはタコ1匹と2～10匹ほどの複数の種の魚で構成されていたという。論文は、9月23日付けで学術誌「Nature Ecology & Evolution」に発表された。
研究を率いたのは、ポルトガルにあるリスボン大学とドイツ、マックス・プランク動物行動学研究所の博士研究員であるエドゥアルド・サンパイオ氏だ。氏は2018～2019年に紅海で、タコと複数の種の魚たちが繰り広げる次のような行動を観察し、興味をそそられたという。
