9月29日夜JSTのバルス反省会

このインスタンスに届いたトゥートの、トゥート時刻(created_at)と届いた時刻(updated_at)の差を、いくつかのリモートインスタンスについて眺めてみました。縦線は14:22:30 UTCで、だいたいバルスが放映された時刻だろうと思っています。横軸はトゥート時刻です。

トゥート元のホストによって色を分けてみると、バルス前から徐々に時間差が増え、バルス後に減るdon.tacostea.net、バルス時に急に増えリニアに減るfriends.nico、ばらばらと遅れの大きいトゥートがあるmstdn.jpとpawoo.netと、ホストによって違いがあることがわかりました。Sidekiqへのキューやスレッドの割り当て方で違いが出てるんだろうな。

このインスタンスからのトゥートについても見てみたかったのですが、自分では記録を取ってないようです。なんとかしたい。

次にこのインスタンスのサービス時間(リクエストを処理するのにかかった時間)。サンプル内に2回30秒のタイムアウトが記録されていましたが、バルス時刻前後にも特にトラフィックやサービス時間が増えた様子はありませんでした。大きいインスタンスからの配信はキュー内で時間がばらけて、小さいインスタンスへの負荷は時間的に分散しているようです。 https://mastodon.zunda.ninja/media/uwYVkpOabzYCIdU1izk
