@health_2023 Mastodonのサーバは、リモートのユーザーの投稿の複製（キャッシュ）を保持していて、所属ユーザーはそれをみています。

リモートのユーザーの投稿は、誰かがフォローした時点で先方からこちらに送信されてくるようになるので、フォロー以降の投稿を蓄えています。

例外としては、誰かがブースト・お気に入り・ブックマーク・絵文字リアクションした投稿、リモートユーザーが固定した投稿、誰かが検索欄にURLを入れて引き出した投稿などが、個別に取得されてキャッシュされます。

decentralizedっていうんだけど、いわゆる中央集権である単一のcentralized、どこにも権力がないバラバラのdistributedに対して、権力が分散している状態ね。

大小様々なサーバが連合しているFediverseはdecentralizedのモデル。

それぞれのサーバは自分のサーバに対する権力を持つけど、全体には及ばない分散している状態。

decentralizedな個々のサーバは集権されてるけど中央集権ではないので、これを中央集権と呼ぶのは避けてもらいたいのだけど、わりとよく使われる。

ひょっとして、適当な共通語彙がないから混ざるんじゃないだろうか。

とはいえ、なんて呼べば良いのか……。

@woz 『中央集権の集合体』と捉えるなら、そのまま中央集権と呼んで構わないのです。

ActivityPubの各ノードを『中央』集権と呼ぶのは不適切なので、その概念を表せる代替の呼称はないかという問いになります。

発行した招待URLは、人数か有効期間が超過すると無効になるけど、新しく発行すれば使えるよ #fedibird
