@MagicalBlob You can still follow them, it's just that (if I recall correctly) they each have to approve your follow, even if their account is not locked. eldritch.cafe still has many general instances on limit because of recent reply spam, I've tried to contact them but without response.

@bluedemon218 Just using hashtags is not enough: you need to interact with others to gain followers on other instances so that your posts federate there; also see the last section of https://fedi.tips/how-do-i-get-more-followers-on-mastodon-and-the-fediverse/. You might also want to avoid dumping hashtags on posts with little context, some users find that suspicious.
