Enough with the jokes. I find taking interesting #photos of #paintings quite difficult: how do you tell a different story other than just capturing the #painting itself? So I tried to experiment with angles a bit. In that process, an old lady actually asked me, after taking the flower painting, what it actually looks like from my angle. Ma'am, I don't know, I'm just trying to make my photos not so boring...

@bluedemon218 The fediverse (which Mastodon is a part of) is federated - not everyone is on the same instance, so you'll have to work to reach other instances. Though, if you insist on an absolute size of the user base, then Bluesky likely has it bigger.

@gkmizuno Sounds risky to depend on an akiya in your plan... I mean there's also maintenance and whatnot, and living in rural areas (where cheap akiyas are) is probably not that convenient (even in Japan), so you also need a car...
