収蔵作品のご紹介:コア・グラス両手付香油瓶
(紀元前2世紀～紀元後1世紀頃｜出土地：エジプト)
砂や耐火粘土等をコア(芯)として、熔けたガラスを巻きつけて装飾する「コア・テクニック」による香油瓶。コア・テクニックとは、最古のガラス器制作技法の一つである。エジプトでは紀元前15世紀後半にガラス製造が始まり、当時は金と比較される程高価なものであった。同様に希少価値の高いエジプトの香油は、美容に用いるだけではなく神への供物であり、王の副葬品でもあった。

本日（昨日の分）の書棚から適当に1冊は『Software Design 2020年6月号』（技術評論社発行）。
特集は入門Rust。そろそろちゃんと勉強しようかなという気持ちになった。低レイヤーソフトウェア開発入門も後編が掲載されている。あと、ちょうぜつエンジニアめもりーちゃんの連載がはじまっていてビックリした。ほか、テストコード、MySQLアーキテクチャ、Linuxのコンテナ技術など、今号も読み応えある。

本日の書棚から適当に1冊は『日経ソフトウエア 2020年7月号』（日経BP社発行）。
特集はPython×Excel。特集に限らず、最近はPythonがらみの記事がとても多い。プチコンとVBAの記事以外は全部Python。世はPythonの全盛期なんだなー。別冊付録は「基礎からしっかり学ぶC#の教科書」ダイジェスト版。いままでC#は手を出してないので、この機会にちょっとかじってみようかと。VS入れたくないので、Lubuntu上でやってみよう。
