『ツルネ』一挙放送を観て小説版を読んだら結構違っていて驚いた
たとえば、遼平は小説版でもアニメ版でも大会で弦が切れるのだけれども、小説版では新品の弦に前日替えたら不良品だったのに対して、アニメ版では新品の弦を買ったものの馴染んでいる使い古した弦のまま大会に参加して切れた（ちなみに弓具店の店主はアニメ版にしか登場しない）という風に、共通する流れはあるけれど細部はかなり違う
湊が絡まない登場人物同士の交流は小説版の方が豊富だけれども不和や衝突の描写も多く、アニメ版は憎まれ役を菅原兄弟に集中させて終盤で印象を変えることで全体の雰囲気が明るめになっていると思う
