@Gargron I got my hands on Mastodon's source code, which is open to everyone, and learned every bit of how it works.
Therefore, I am able to provide services using Mastodon with confidence and respond to bugs immediately and provide feedback on them. I maintain my own forked source code while suggesting features to be included in the future.
The Mastodon community is very strong, as developers are born from the users and participate in the development to ensure quality and build the future.
@Gargron I could have joined an existing community, but I decided to self-host Mastodon.
My posts to the world are replicated from my own servers and can be traced back to their originals. Since I own it, the platform will not be terminated or removed at the platform's discretion, and I can provide a long and stable service. I finally have this. Yay!
@Gargron Creators who publish their own content, developers who publish their own products, individuals and organizations who express their own research results and ideas, journalists, politicians, independent businesses, and public services such as national and local governments should own the originals by self-hosting. They should not let anyone else have the right to kill them. You can replicate it somewhere else if you need to, but you should keep the original.
masterにしようぜ、という贅沢はいわないので、せめて最新リリースで動いている鯖であって欲しい。

@antungame 引っ越し設定しているアカウントがAPIを使えていたことが不具合だと思います。権限回りのセキュリティフィックスの中で修正されている可能性が高いです。必要なら調べてみます。
引っ越しの解除APIはなかったと思いますが、それ以外は本来、使えないのが期待されるところです。

@antungame 引っ越し済みを判別しやすくする工夫と、引っ越し済み状態でのread onlyは許容されると思うので、そういう方向の改善案を考えてみます。

Twitterをメインにしている人の大多数は、今のFediverseに向いていないだろうと思っていて、だから大挙して押し寄せてくるといってもたかが知れているだろうと思っています。
たまにTwitterにMastodonの投稿をするときがありますが、あれはFediverseに向いた人に届けばよくって、だからむやみに誘うつもりはないけど、できるだけ状況がわかるように情報を提供しています。
今、ちょっとSNS界がざわざわしていますが、いまのところ日本のユーザーにはさほど影響が出ていないように思います。
mstdn.jpはちょっと負荷が厳しそうですね。新規登録はいつもの倍ぐらいありそうです。
Pawooはほとんど増えていないように思います。いつも通り。とはいえ、元々新規登録はどこよりも多いです。まぁ、どんなときも黙って捌くので堂々としたものですが。
misskey.ioは一気に人が増えていますね。今回の主役はここかな。
なお、Fedibirdは、知る人ぞ知る、という程度の知名度なので、まったくもって通常運転です。

Fedibirdは、そのFediverseの中でもさらにマニアックなポジションのサーバで、そもそもあまり知られてないし、知っている人も、登録する前にちょっと考えると思うんだ。
だから、むやみにユーザー登録数が増えないで済んでいる。合わない人はアカウント削除して消えることが多いので、単純に放置されているケースはすごく少ないんじゃないかな。
このへんは、最初の入口をmstdn.jpやmisskey.io、あるいはPawooに任せておいて楽をしようという魂胆でもあるんだけど……w
でも実は、Twitter的な使い方をするなら、それに一番近いサーバでもある。無属性だし、直接的な検索はできないけどハッシュタグやキーワードを購読することができるしね。
#fedibird 、ダッシュボードに見える人数で1,280人なんだよね。週のアクティブはだいたい600で落ち着いて居る。
@harunon アパートの隣の部屋に仲いい知り合い住んでて「なぁ、めし食いにいかへん？」「いこか」ぐらいの距離感みたいな
うっかりmstdn.jpに書き込みしたから、ちょいちょい遅延した通知が飛んでくるぞ。これは厳しい……
Fedibirdみたいにコミュニティじゃないサーバなら使い分けできると思うけど、一般のサーバは難しいよね。
