I can't give you a clear policy, but I'll give you some background.
Unlike Mastodon, Misskey's notes/replies API returns a list of direct replies. It does not contain the descendants of the tree. The client must call the API multiple times to get the entire thread tree. It's time-consuming process. and it's difficult to make something what to display when the expected time is exceeded.

@razzlom Supporting MFM's functions and katex code is very difficult from Android's navive TextView. and then currently my MFM decoder just shorten these expressions. also it possible to add options to completely ignore them.
