- GitHubが日本語に翻訳されていない(少なくともWeb版の場合)。
- GitHubでは、日本語で書かれたIssueを検索しづらい。
- 重複(Duplicate)を探しづらい。
- Issueのタイトルや内容を英語で書く文化がそこら中のリポジトリに存在する。
- 英語圏あるいは英語教育を受けたユーザーが多い。
- 言葉の壁による参入障壁が日→英に対して英→日の方が遥かに高い。
- Misskeyでも海外のユーザーによる英語のIssueが散見される。
- 国内企業のリポジトリでも英語を採用していることがある。

- 恐らく上記の理由を考慮した結果と思われる。

以上の理由から、リポジトリによる公用語の指定がない限り、私がGitHubでIssueを書くときは英語を使うことが多いです。
