#fedimovie ブースト等でパフォーマンスが極端にダウンする（応答しなくなったり、動画再生が切れる）症状は、おそらくなおりました。

いくつかネックになっているスロークエリーがあったのですが、統計情報の更新で解消されました。

しばらく様子をみますので、なおってないぞ？ という方は教えてください。

FediMovieをはじめとする、PeerTubeインスタンスは、それ自身はMastodonのブーストに相当する機能を持っていません。（まぁYouTubeにもないですが）

チャンネルが、ある種のブースターになっていますが、チャンネルをフォローしている人に届けるだけです。

MastodonやPleroma、Misskeyでブースト・リピート・リノートすると、そのコンテンツを自分でフォローしていない人にも届きます。

また、もちろん動画のURLを本文に含めれば、Twitterを含め、どんな投稿からでも紹介することができます。

ブーストは、元投稿を広めることができるメリットがあります。

見た目、差が無いようにみえますが、お気に入りすると高評価、リプライするとコメントになるという特徴があり、動画についたコメントがリプライツリーとしてぶら下がった状態で広まります。

一方、投稿にURLを含めるやり方は、ローカルや連合に表示され、紹介を兼ねていたりすると、そこを起点にしたコミュニケーションが発生しやすいというメリットがあります。

なお、FediMovieなどのPeerTubeの投稿が連合したものは、連合タイムラインには表示されています。

誰かがフォローしているか、ブーストされると、投稿が連合にひょっこり現れます。

また、Fedibirdの場合は、fedimovie.comの投稿だけを表示するドメインタイムラインがあるので、そこで新着をチェックすることもできます。

これは、FediMovieの永続するライブチャンネル使ってるのかな。好きな時にライブを始めて、終わったら終わり。またいつでも再開できます。キーが変更にならないので、OBS等の設定もそのままでいけます。

こうしたライブは、ライブ中だけFediMovieの動画一覧に現れます。

単発の普通のライブは、ライブ終了後にアーカイブが作成され、普通の動画として公開されますので、ライブ中だけでなく、終わっても存在がわかるんですけど、永続するやつは終わりがないので、アーカイブは作成されません。 #fedimovie

@tomoki 拡散力は全然ないので、その軸では意味はないですね。

ボカロ丼コミュニティ内での共有と、ボカロ丼関係の楽曲を（あげた分についてだけですが）まとめてみられるということが主なメリットで、ボカロ丼やFediverse界隈への内輪向けという感じです。

直接主催されないなら、FediMovieができたからやってみたい人は覗いてみては、という程度でよろしいかと思います。

@tomoki なお、インポート機能（youtube-dlとフォークのyt-dlp）が強いので、自身の各プラットフォーム投稿をミラーする運用はありだとは思います。

あまりボカロ丼では用途がないかもしれませんが、YouTubeやニコニコ動画、TikTokなどから直接持ってくる機能です。

これは、アカウント凍結対策やバックアップといった使い方で、むしろPeerTube側がプラットフォームとして存続性が怪しいとか、信用できないとなれば、あまり意味はありません。

ただ、個人でPeerTubeを立てて、コアになるPeerTube（ボカロ丼PeerTubeやFediMovie）などと連合を組むことで、自分のコンテンツはセルフホスト、流通は交流インスタンスへの連合で供給、というやり方も可能です。

まぁ、個人でサイトを維持する方がますます難しいというジレンマもあります。分散サーバをセルフホストすること全般に言えることですが。

これ、P2Pの機能している様子です。

ここでは、ライブ再生している動画データ440MBのうち、インスタンスから212MB、ピアから228MB受け取って再生しています。

ピアというのは、いま同時にこの動画をみていて、共有するのを許可しているブラウザの数です。

閲覧者が多くなっても、インスタンスだけに負荷を集中させず、シェアしあうことで全体のストリーミング再生を支える仕組みです。
