@dan_iel The main reason that such manual operation is required is that the version number of the server under development remains 3.2.0. The app will not be able to determine the server version until a new version number is provided for the new feature.

@dan_iel I think just task switched is not "restart app". using back button or side menu's "exit app" will close app's activity and when next time open the app, initializing activity will re-read colors to the memory.

@dan_iel where you enabling "Notifications from user" ? my app uses its phrase in comtext menu, that open new column that includes notifications(reply,favourite,etc) filtered by specified user. it not means "notify any post from that user". (FYI, mastodon new version may include "status" notification, it may be you want.)
