本日の書棚から適当に1冊は『グイン・サーガ32巻 ヤヌスの戦い』（栗本薫著・ハヤカワ文庫）。
表紙はイシュトヴァーン。タイトルは明らかに前巻のヤーンとの対比。イシュトヴァーンにとってはじめての正規軍を率いての戦闘では凱旋するものの、多勢なクム軍に追い詰められるモンゴール軍。しかし戦は生き物。ついに風向きは変わる。ヤヌスは守り給い、ヤヌスは与え給う。そして遠くパロにて暗躍するナリスさま。1990年4月刊。
