こういう変更って、やはり後で「履歴」が追える様にすべきだと思う。現状だと何時変更が加わったのかがトレースできない。常に最新の状況しか見られない。

それ自体は確かに現状との照合が常に求められる地図としてはアップデートが早い方が理に適っているとも言えるけれど、一方で過去の状態との差異を確認したいケースも確実に存在している。

現状では印刷された地形図で代用する想定なのかも知れないけれど、それでは明らかにタイムスパンが長すぎる現状がある。そこだけ従来どおりというのは如何なものか。 [参照]

最近は購読していなかったからどんな誌面になっていたのかも確認していないけれど、もはやLPやCDとは違う形態で音源が聴かれている時代にあってはこういう雑誌が成立する余地が無くなってきてしまったんだな、という気がする。

坂本龍一と池辺晋一郎の間にそんな接点があったんだ。知らなかった。

これなぁ、即日更新可能なのはデジタル化されている地図の強みと言えばそうなのだけれど、あっさり消して終了というのはちょっと違う気がする。まだ物理的な線路や駅舎は残っている訳だし、当座は列車こそ走らないにしても目標物としては機能する筈なんだよね。事情を知らない人には「地図に描いてない線路が」っていう混乱に繋がりかねない。

運用から外された鉄路を表現する新たな記号を策定すべきかと。

今日の過去記事再放送、そろそろ主だったお題が一巡したので、残りは落ち穂拾い的な紹介になっていきます。

今回は国立国会図書館が新たにDOIに対応した際の記事を出します。コンテンツデータの永続的識別子として定義されたものですが、記事に記した様な事情から私のブログでは使うのを取りやめた、という話になっています。

ちょうどIPAがサイトリニューアルで大量のリンク切れを生み出したところですが、あの様な状況の対策としてDOIが考案されたのではないのかな、とも思います。その点ではまだあまりDOIが有効活用される状況になっていないことになりますね。
