@flightnature Maybe 一两 (one liang). See also https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tael .
@mycrowgirl You know what's also annoying? Video questions for school applications... (No, they're not interview, they're recorded in one take.) Even worse, they're often about those supposed "life/leadership qualities"...
@venya For school and for Roblox games that only provide support over Discord. I do use Matrix extensively, despite its flaws: I manage some communities there, and I've also met people that became offline friends with me.
@expert @irenes In both cases you can get your keys back and verify your new session by entering your recovery key obtained in the key backup setup process (which, if you registered from an Element instance, is prompted on account creation). Sure, not the most convenient thing, but I do think the prompts in Element are clear.
@mshiltonj I use arkenfox's user.js. It enables various privacy features (including domain-based cookie isolation) and clears cookies (can add exceptions by site) and history on exit.
From @Aqraf :
> Ito Yokado (note: #Japanese #supermarket chain) cashier backup request #BGM "Help!"
> Staff members hearing this #music instead of "backup requested at checkout" would feel like they're warriors going to the cash registers helping out their fellows.
@knova @venya What client(s) are you using? Did you verify your sessions and use key backup? Is it for every room or just specific rooms? (See also https://joinmatrix.org/guide/fix-decryption-error/ )
@nik The foundation still guards the Matrix spec. Separating the standard and the implementations is a good thing: the XSF doesn't develop XMPP servers either, it's third parties that do. If anything, this split should've happened much sooner.
