At 120TB that'd be $255.375 PER MONTH to store the data; or over $3000 PER YEAR AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

OK, I'm definitely going to run the numbers on migrating to self hosted tape storage... none of that data is truly critical if lost (so proper storage conditions are not a concern for me) AND I can do true proper backups on blu-ray otherwise (alongside the live data).

It's like maybe $200-300 for an LTO6 drive, maybe $500-800 for like 50 tapes... 2.5TB*50=125TB, enough for my entire server...

But if I splurged a bit and went LTO7 I could get their 6TB tapes. 6TB*50=300TB, easy enough to do duplicate copies on tape of data; extra backups on backups on backups.
