@captainepoch As written, WeChat pay/publisher tokens are among many different tokens of various platforms that GitHub scan for on public repositories, and the scanner only pings the platform after a regex match, where the expression is static & stored by GitHub (otherwise how would the enterprise editions work?). While there are many valid reasons to hate on GitHub (some of which I indeed agree), this is just fearmongering.

Suji Yan has acquired #Pawoo , making him the largest owner of #Mastodon (and fediverse) instances. I suspect Pawoo changed hands for reasons similar to mstdn.jp and mastodon.cloud: to avoid #legal liabilities for not moderating enough (remember Pawoo's domain was briefly suspended in September? Also, the latter two were sold amid legislative efforts to combat #cyberbullying in #Japan ). This, be it recentralization or #moderation , should concern all #fediverse (especially #Japanese ) users.

@Shell The Chinese-speaking fediverse appears to be quite disjoint from the rest, so it may be better to maintain a separate account (preferably on a Chinese-speaking instance like m.cmx.im or 1234.as or o3o.ca for better reach).
