お金を「頂く」目的の例として、ホストクラブの「担当」を一位にしたい、整形したい、ブランド物がほしい、推し活したいと並んで奨学金を完済したいが書かれているのを見つけて『東京貧困女子。』にも奨学金の返済で苦境に陥る話があったなと思った。
卒業≒奨学金の返済が近づいてきて大学在学中にいわゆる夜職を始める人もいれば、卒業後に夜職を兼業して返済に当てる人もいる、というところまでは想像がついたけれど、奨学金制度の危険に早く気付いて中高生でいわゆるパパ活などを通して親に秘密でお金を貯めて奨学金を回避する人もいるという話は衝撃的だった。おそらく、中高生で特殊詐欺に加担したりその他の「闇バイト」に参加する人の中にも同様の背景がある人がいるのだろう。

それにしても、第二次世界大戦によって物理学の「有用性」が明白となり、それに続く冷戦期に莫大な予算が流れ込んで物理学者志望の学生が急増した結果として物理学科で科学哲学を教える余裕がなくなり、現代物理学者の哲学軽視が醸成されたとすれば不運そのものだと思う。
しかし、これまでそうだったように、『咲』は近未来を先取りしているだけかもしれない。

ruby要素はXHTML 1.1にもHTML Living Standardにもあるけれど、複雑なルビを表現するには機能が不足している。WHATWGではなくW3Cが複雑なルビを表現するための拡張を検討するのはそう悪いことではないと私は思っていて、CSSやMathMLで現在そうしているのと同様に、専門的な領域においてWHATWGとW3Cが分業する新たな取り組みになるかもしれない。
HTML 4.01 に入ってなかったのはそうか……となるが、 5 は W3C spec に入っていたのが WHATWG に入ってなかったのか消されたのか、そんな感じ？
