The Project uses @matrix for our instant messaging needs (with IRC bridges also).

While the default experience is with , there are several other neat Matrix clients you can use.

Element (desktop, mobile and web) Built with Electron, it's the flagship Matrix client, where most of the features are first tested and implemented, with some big ones like video rooms and message threads still being in beta, but soon to come to stable releases as well.
