@DigiVoyager I'm getting off topic from my surprise at the beginning, but what surprised me more than anything in this article is that a law to protect the sacred (that is unfortunately already rampant with life-threatening abuses by radical vigilante types) was even used to threaten for such filthy dirty selfish desires.
I even feel that it should be applied to those who used it for such things in such way.
@DigiVoyager And it is sad that the idea of “honor” here, including the regular people, has gone wrong way for so long.
Well, it is very good to have pride. The Japanese have really low self-esteem (we're often said "humble" but it's actually just lower self-esteem). So that I'd like to learn from people here.
However, I believe that “protecting honor” for families or communities must be the way to protect the victimized members from what has happened, not to eliminate them.
@DigiVoyager I too see situations in various settings where extreme authoritarianism and cronyism are hindering real needs.
What is strange most is that the powerful people in this place seem to be obsessed with showing even more power, even though they are already overwhelmingly powerful.
Are they afraid of something? They seem to be only spreading their own distortions as well as pulling their legs each other.

"I know many nurses who are harassed, and if they don’t comply, they’re threatened with accusations of blasphemy."
Is this thing casually used for such dirty selfish desire?
