@jessew In Quebec I actually had financial literacy courses but it's like spread out between different subjects... They just throw us the big form and expect us to come up with numbers... Anyways now I just use free web-based software to my (& my family's) taxes...

@pmidden Probably because a community doesn't need to selfhost things (for moderation), centralized platforms reduce moderation workload, there are no state resets (this is what kicked Techlore out of Matrix), better discovery & onboarding, etc.?

@bryanredeagle All servers are purely API (for an implementation of this scale, Synapse is your only choice) and you host web clients (Element or Cinny) separately. Note that matrix-docker-ansible-deploy simplifies setting up server, client & other peripheries, so you should try that. cc. @oros
