アカウント削除ですが、Mastodonの様々なアクションの中でも非常に重たい処理の一つです。
あらゆる既存データを矛盾無く解消するというのは、データベースの整合性の面でも、リモートサーバとの連合の中でそれを解消する意味でも、やることが凄く多いのです。
とはいえ、削除は重要な権利として認識されており、ユーザーが実行すれば即座に実行に移ります。
ちなみにfedibird.comでは、サーバーのプロセスのうち半分を削除処理に関与しないようにして、バランス調整しています。まあ少し重くなりますけど、ほとんどわからないレベルを実現できています。

Firefoxだと、プリコンパイルした画像ファイルしか読んでくれないのね。
