It should be noted that Signal doesn't appear to retain metadata, whereas Matrix homeservers generally retain it indefinitely. Again, Matrix has its uses - I run https://joinmatrix.org - but to overstate its security would be wrong.
@asie @clarfonthey Actually, I just got this from Stripe regarding my GitHub Sponsors account. Specifically I'm asked to accept a new ToS and specify a "business website" along with purpose of business. I don't know if it's specific to Canada.
